Does ANYONE know how I can get RW Standard to work? In it's Audio Setup, it's just coming up blank(except for "ASIO Device-ASIO Guitar Port"), and so I can't open the ASIO setup in that either.
I have the Line 6 version also, but that has the Audio Setup correctly. I'm using Guitar Port/Gear Box

Thx, wetnap

With any version of RiffWorks V2, you have to run the GearBox application separately. Are you doing that? It is the GearBox application that allows you to do the Line 6 amp modeling, hardware monitoring, and proper input selection for that device.

Like you mentioned, you should configure the Audio Setup for your ASIO GuitarPort.

Yes, like I say, I'm opening up GearBox(just like I do in the Line6 ver2). And also like I say, I can't open up the ASIO settings in the AUDIO SETUP window of the STANDARD version, it just closes the window if I click on it. ALL THE LINES ARE BLANK IN AUDIO SETUP of STANDARD!
LOL, come on, you guys know what's been going on here.

wetnap,

I wish I knew what was going on there. :) I don't think I've heard of a problem with the GuitarPort ASIO driver not showing up in the Audio Setup window. It might be related to this other thread. Could you read this thread and try deleting your DeviceName in the registry?

You're stumping us wetnap!

Make sure you're running the latest version of GearBox, etc, using the Line 6 Monkey.

Does the GuitarPort work normally through GearBox if you open GearBox with RiffWorks closed?

Thought maybe we were on to something there...but NOPE.
I had to Update "Line6 Monkey", Then I updated "Drivers" to 3.2.7.0, then I updated "Gearbox" to 3.0.
The only thing I wasn't sure of is, when I did the "Install" of GEARBOX 3.0...I left the checks for all the "Toneport" drivers when it asked which "Apps" I wanted to install. I thought I saw something about that. I "unchecked" PODXT, Line Monkey, and Guitar port drivers(I HAD 3.2.7.0). I'm using GUITAR PORT.
But when I went into RIFFWORKS "STANDARD"(with GEARBOX OPEN), there STILL wasn't any OPTIONS for "OUTPUT CHANNELS" in the "Audio Setup" of STANDARD! All it has in STANDARD is "ASIO GUITAR PORT".
In the "LINE6"(which works FINE) version of RIFFWORKS it has "OUTPUT 1 + OUTPUT 2" in the OUTPUT CHANNEL OPTIONS.
And YES...GEARBOX works FINE all by itself!
I've done all the "UNPLUG/PLUG", "REBOOT CPU" a thousand times.
Line6 Monkey says I'm all UPDATED...wish we could figure out whats going ON with me TOO :)
I know you guys are trying, "wet"

SO...basically...I have no "OUTPUT" options in the Audio Setup of RW STANDARD! It HAS ASIO GuitarPort for the device...but that's IT! Hence...NO SOUND! The Line 6 RW version works fine...well...it works.
I have both versions on my D drive. I don't understand why one works, but the other(STANDARD) doesn't.
Is the PATCH going to FIX this? I will supply ANY info from MY end!
I "WISH" I could get some HELP around here! And I DON'T mean help getting "RiffCaster" to work 'phone calls'!!!! (with the YELLING at ME for Gods sakes)

Disgruntled... Scott

Scott,

We are trying to help you, but your problem is very unique in that I haven't had any other customer service requests come through with even remotely similar symptoms. So stop yelling, as this may take a while. :)

It makes no sense (I can put that in caps if you like, ha!) why there's no output settings listed. You say you have the L6 version on your computer, but which version is it? RiffWorks 1.1, or RiffWorks Line 6 Edition V2?

Please email your RiffWorks.log file to support@sonomawireworks.com and reference this thread. You can find the log file in My DocumentsSonoma Wire WorksRiffWorks

HEY!!!! I'm not the one YELLING!!!! I got "YELLED" at by your "REP" over the PHONE! After 2 hours of THAT on the phone, all I heard was..."Glad I could HELP". GLAD I COULD HELP??? All That happened was I got "RiffCASTER" to work...Ha...Big Deal! I wasn't even helped at ALL with the "RW STANDARD" not working! I SHOULD "YELL"!
This is one heckuva way to run a business, I can tell you THAT!
And what do you mean, you haven't seen a problem like THIS before? I've seen PLENTY of posts where people loose their "ASIO Device" in the AUDIO Setup! I'll loose it in the Line6 version if I try to change the DEVICE in STANDARD...just to try to get THAT to work! They are told to Unplug/Plug the device. That doesn't work for me. If I 'reboot' my cpu, that gets the device (and ALL the other options back in the Line6 RW), but does nothing for STANDARD! It still just has "ASIO GuitarPort"...No other options...no sound.
I've seen OTHER people post comments too about when they don't have any options available in the "Audio Setup"...they click the ASIO setup screen...and THAT just CLOSES. Same happens to ME!
And "What Line6 version do I have"?...I have em ALL...you don't know that by now!?!

I will do what you ask...but let me put this in "CAPS" for ya..."THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'M GOING TO MESS WITH THIS NONSENSE"!!!!

Our rep? We don't have phone support, so do you mean Line 6 phone support? I'm going to eat some dinner, then I'll be back to look at this again later this evening.

We're happy to help out, and I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Line 6 Support. All I ask now is that you give me/us a chance to try and figure this out with you.

We can't see Line 6 orders, so no, I can't tell which version you have. We're two very separate companies, and we don't share order information with each other. I can only tell if you have made Sonoma Wire Works purchases.

I'll be back in a few hours,
Randy

Refund+uninstall=silence and no caps

Nobody wants to help a jerk who can't even keep Sonoma support and Line 6 support seperated. Enjoy your dinner Randy!

It's a common mistake actually, and it's understandable as Line 6 was our sole distributor of RiffWorks for quite a while and during that time you had to go to Line 6 for support.

We're working with Wet via email now.

Thanks,
Randy

I hope you get him fixed up Randy....I know you can.

I am getting sick of the attitude laden, sarcastic posts by some of the newer members in here that have had issues..........no patience and no respect. And as new members and such you would think they could conduct themselves a wee bit better.

The Sonoma folks are great and will help, as will any member here.........just back it down and notch and treat others as you expect to be treated and all will be fine. I wish that didn't even need to be said. I guess they figure they paid for it so they can say and do as they please? I don't know how you keep your cool with some of these folks....but again hats off to Sonoma.
