can't connect via Rifflink tab

Although I am registered with both line 6 and Sonoma Wireworks, the login window still list “Unregistered” when I select the “Rifflink” tab from within RiffWorks.

Shouldn't my unsername appear after registration? I've tried typing it in but the username box wouldnt allow me to type over the word “Unregistered” . However, I can type in my password.

Does this function not work for those of us who purchased RiffWorks with GuitarPort?

Yes. After registering with our store, you have to download the RiffWorks Line 6 Activator application. It will update your copy of RiffWorks to use features from our company like Instant Drummers, RiffCaster, and RiffLink.

I had the same problem. When I run the app, I get an error, it says it can't write to the exe file. I'm afraid i need to shut down Riffworks to run this, but I have something I've recorded that I want to save badly. How can I register it without shutting down Riffworks? Please help. Thanks.

Hi Tom,

Registering has nothing to do with being able to save your work. If you can't save or mix, then you need to activate RiffWorks:

This process requires restarting RiffWorks, so you're going to lose your work, sorry.
