The mainboard in my pc recently took a dump and I lost everything. I have reloaded all my line6 programs (line6 monkey, edit, etc.). The line6 monkey still shows riffworks so I'm wondering if I can just download riffworks version 1 again? I'm also thinking about upgrading to v2. If I buy the upgrade through line6 monkey without having version 1 installed will it consider it an upgrade or a totally new program and charge me the full price? Hope this question makes sense lol.

Hi Rob,

I'd strongly suggest you buy the RiffWorks Standard version that won't tie your setup to Line6 hardware. It will allow you to still use GuitarPort and/or TonePort.
Cheers!

I don't understand why the upgrade doesn't allow that if the standard version does? Maybe I'll think twice about upgrading then. So, the first part of my question still remains lol. Thanks for the reply.

You should be able to download RW1.1 and re-install it. You can use the Monkey to reactivate it by putting in the licence key again or, if it says it's already installed, by typing the word 'refresh' where the licence key goes.

You can then upgrade but I'd do it through Sonoma, to get the Standard version, not the Line6 one.
Cheers!
