Hi Strat,

I'm sorry you're having trouble opening saved sessions. There are a few known reasons this could be happening. I'm a little confused about your description of the problem. You mention saving the tune and or tunes, and opening the tune and or tunes. Let's just go through the process of saving and opening to make sure you're doing this correctly.

- Open RiffWorks
- Create riffs, drag riffs to the song time line to make a song
- Save Song by clicking the SAVE or SAVE AS buttons.
- Close RiffWorks
- Re-open RiffWorks
- Click the OPEN button to open the saved song session

That's the only way possible to open and save songs. I want to make sure you aren't mixing songs to .wav or .ogg format, and are then trying to open those files with RiffWorks, as it's unable to open any file type other than .rws files.

Please let me know if this helps, or if you can include any additional information on how you're saving and opening songs files.

Thanks!
Randy

Hi Randy,,i wes a beta tester..i know the drill..no song i make will open after saving..no song that was recorded and saved in rw song file will open..if i save a collabaration in rifflink,it will not open at that time or at a later time when i log out of r.link..everything else works..record/mix to riff/mix to wave,ogg..vst/amp all is good except wont open any rw songs after saving..no mater if i "save" or"save as"...Thanks for your reply..strat ps. the song exstension is .rws

Sorry for the memory lapse! I've been under the weather for a while and I'm just starting to get rolling again here.

Why don't you go ahead and attach of your .rws files to a support case at http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php

Keep it small though, say under 40 MB. I'll see if I can open it.

Can you verify that that you're running the latest release by replying with your copy's version number?

Thanks!
Randy

Hey Strat.... your trying to save in RiffLink?
I thought that was a no-no , because the song is saved to the server and there s no need to save a Collaberation on our own computers...... I thought I heard or read on another thread that that's what happens when you save in "RiffLink" it corrupts the file........
Maybe Randy overlooked that when he read your last post?

Can you give me the case number? We're really backed up right now and having that would really help out. You would have gotten it via email after submitting the file to support.

Thanks!

Hmmm, are you sure the file was accepted? The only open cases we have for you are regarding a Christmas medley link that you sent us. When you submitted the file, did you get to the page saying that your message had been successfully received?
