Cool piece of software.

I'm using M-Audio FastTrack USB, XP, Riffworks Std Demo.

I've searched the FAQ and Forums both here and M-Audio and believe I have everything set correctly.

But I'm only hearing my guitar out of one side.

Any suggestions appreciated.

FWIW: This is the only software I have this problem with which is very discouraging since it's the only that does everything I want/need.

By the number of views it would appear not to be uncommon.

Anybody?

Sorry ... I'm sure someone with some expierience with that equipment will come along and help........ wish I could help........ my only piece of advice would be to go over all settings and wiring to make sure it isn't something really basic that you might have overlooked........... it's happened to me many times .......
Hope you get it settled ......

It is really hard to troubleshoot another person's setup on a forum...........I wish had more to say/suggest......but like MM said try to come over and ensure it isn't something simple you may have overlooked.

A good friend of mine has a similar set-up with M-Audio FastTrack USB... and the same problems too. I tried to solve the problem for him. In RiffWorks, I couldn't get to the interface settings for M-Audio FastTrack USB through "Audio setup". It was blank, and the signal only routed through to one channel. When I cliked the "HARDWARE" in the monitor pane I could get a stereo sound - but latency was to high to accept. So I tried to install the ASIO4ALL driver and used that instead. This seemed to solve the problem - a bit. Now I could at least adjust the latency settings with the "HARDWARE" option selected. But I wasn't satisfied, so I went to M-Audio's download section and downloaded a fresh driver - uninstalled the previous one - and installed the fresh one. Violá - everything worked... well, It was still in mono when the "HARDWARE" monitoring wasn't on, but it was possible to adjust latency to an acceptable degree. To my opinion and experience the M-Audio FastTrack USB sucks... To be hornest, I thought it was an exelent audio interface untill I tried it.
I hope this somehow helped to get you going. Don't give up!

This can happen when you have Stereo selected on the input, but you're only plugged into one channel. Try unclicking the stereo button in the input panel and choosing only the input that you are plugged in on.

What Dave said ^^^^^^

You have to uncheck "STEREO" in RiffWorks when using the FastTrack.

ASIO4all? Yuck! :) Don't do it!

Haha!

Did unchecking the stereo button work as well?

Coulda sworn I tried un-checking the Stereo option but I don't remember doing that and trying the other input (Line In 1/2). Bingo!

Thanks Randy and Dave.
