If you own a PODxt or TonePort and RiffWorks (v1 or v2), and would like to crossgrade to RiffWorks Standard (v2), simply email Sonoma Wire Works using this Support Form, and include your PODxt or TonePort serial number:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php

We'll respond to you with a coupon code for $70 off RiffWorks Standard :-)

I recommend the crossgrade as well – it cost $70 but in the long run should pay dividends. It may look and act the same but will in fact, it will interact more seamlessly with other devices.

That noted, I must admit to being frustrated by one part of the process. It takes too long to retrieve the previously purchased instant drummers installed in the Line 6 version! You can’t just relocate them yourself – Sonoma Wire Works (SWW) must make them available to you for downloading from your SWW account.

The process is a bit clumsy and time-consuming because you have to take screenshots of the Line 6 monkey showing your previously purchased drummers and then submit them, along with other documentation, to SWW through their support engine known as FogBugz.

I like everything about SWW except FogBugz. FogBugz has left some of us in the fog by forcing us to wait endlessly for a response. I only had to wait a week for my drummers but others wait longer. Sonoma Wire Works would do well to get rid of this support system altogether.

In the meantime, at least you have the drummers that come free with the program.

So, why am I going on about this after recommending the crossgrade? Because I have encouraged others to make the move, thus my reputation is on the line, and they too have been fogged-in by FogBugz.

So yes, go ahead and make the move but don’t uninstall the Line 6 version until you can download you previously purchased drummers.

Finally, if you are going to crossgrade (as you noted above) do it before the price increase.

Good constructive points made epauly.........SWW is a great bunch of folks.......but this is something that has been ongoing for many users......getting support I mean. They really need someone overseeing these forums more and tackling complaints or requests for help in a more timely fashion, not to mention deleting the spam :)

Sonoma got big quick, and I am sure they will iron out some of the problems as they continue to grow and prosper.

FWIW - Sonoma Wire Works has the best response time to customer issues that I have ever seen on an internet forum.

TerryR, ShredRex,

Ditto – Great moderators and members (the whole commuity).
From my perspective, the FogBugz (the system-not the people) is the only weak link.

riffer7777,

The following is from an earlier post of mine:

Assuming you’re Windows based - hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys while pressing “Print Screen” button.

A photo image of the opened Line 6 Monkey window will be temporary saved on your computer’s memory. Paste the image into a document such as Word.

If you’re like me and all of drummers won’t fit into the Line 6 monkey window in one take; scroll down and take a second shot of additional drummers.

Paste additional images into the same document, save, and send, along with other required documentation, to the Sonoma Wireworks Support via FogBugz form.

Hope this is helpful.
