O.K im gonna try SELF HELP on my INVALID FORMAT problems.. save the drums to a folder/delete everything that has to do with RWS/reinstall RWS.... thats the plan anyway..is their gonna be a registration or such problem?...I was a beta tester and got the whole package for free ...not a "paying customer"... so i cant fuss too much,,but some action must be taken..lol ,so my plan..is ok maby...?

uninstall reinstall on the same machine shouldn't be a problem.

Can you tell me a bit about your INVALID FORMAT problems? Could you send me one of these songs?

ok I found the messages. Please try reinstalling RiffWorks. I don't think you will need to redownload drums etc.

In the meantime I will look into what could cause this and look at the files you have sent to support.

O.K I uninstalled rws and reinstall,,drums are all there,,,make new riff,,2 layers 8 bars@120 bpm..put in song bar,,,make another riff,,2 layers 8 bars@120bpm..move into songbar,,,save song ,,try and reopen the song i just saved and get INVALID FORMAT...Also if i hit play in the song bar ,weather theres 1,3,6 or no riffs the program crashes ,,sometimes with a"UNKNOWN ERROR" and sometimes a "UNHANDELD EXCEPTION" This is after deleting all RWS and SWW files and a fresh reinstall ..ive made a full virul check of my computer and a roll back,,,im befuddled...

I deleted everything SWW/RW1/ALL SONOMA FILES/RIFFTRACKER/GUITARPORT AND GEARBOX.. except the drums,which i moved to a folder in my doc...i reinstalled gtrport,gearbox and it works fine..i went to the sonoma store and d.loaded RWS [i have 1 d.load left] i have not installed the new rws d.load yet.. should i d.load all the drums agin..or install the ones i saved? In the 3 previous remove and reinstalls, i did not delete the drums..could their be something in the drums[all from sonomas store] that might be the cause of the problems ive been having??

Did you find and delete the rcs directory? You told me you found it, but I never heard back if you deleted it or not. Also, where was it, since it was not in any of the places I had you look.
