It seems the line 6 gear has more diversity in amp selection. Although, there some really good ones in the Amplitude in the Standard version.

I bought the guitar post like 4 weeks ago and messing with it when I have time, and yes, I receitly did the $60 upgrade to the standard version here.

When I click the box for more amps under the standard version (assume it's for more amps under Amplitude), it goes to a website that doesn't exist. Is there more amp tones avaliable for Amplitude? Just wondering.

It all works out though anyways cause it seems to work using the gear amp too which is cool.

Okay, I’ll give this one a try.

I suspect that most of us use GearBox with a Line 6 device to record on RiffWorks. However, that’s just a guess.

IK Amplitube is a company that offers modeling software and other products like Line 6. I believe it is based in Italy. As you know, Amplitube Lite is a basic version but upgraded versions are available through a number of online music stores.

Amplitube Lite is fun to play around with but other packages seem fairly pricey.

To see IK Amplitube’s complete line go to amplitube.com.

I have been fairly critical of Amplitube in the past.....cause all I have ever had the chance to mess with was the light version.

The full version is getting good reviews, and I would love to try it.......but it is damn expensive. Line6 will do until Amplitube comes down to something reasonable in price.

BTW: thanks for registering Riffer....the more the merrier!

If you guys didnt know, Amplitube 2 is available with no limitations to demo for 10 days and without a dongle. I had much fun with it for ten days. I decided not to buy it though, since I have other things to spend my money on like real gear. But it did sound very good to me and the interface was awesome. There isnt half as many amp models as a maxed out Pod, but the ones they did model are pretty sweet.

wow, you guys are not kidding. $400 smackers for the amlitude 2 does seem steep. That thing must do everything.

I also noticed the amplitude 2 live, but it's different with some interface box but much cheaper at $129

The amplitude 1 live looks similar to what comes with the standard (didn't see the light version there).

Thanks for the website tip, I haven't been there before.

There was an online retailer selling it for $249, but I don't remember where.

Hello,

The "Get More Amps" feature will eventually lead you to a page on our online store that will allow you to purchase additional plug-ins similar to Amplitube LE. Amplitube LE itself isn't expandable, and there aren't any additional tones available.

Amplitude 2 upgrade is available for owners of Amplitude LE* or Amplitude 2 Live as a boxed upgrade at most online retailers for about $220. Some one on the Line 6 forum found it for even less but I don't remember the place, and the thread has probably been deleted as it was in one of the "VST Price Wars" threads.

*Which Riffworks Standard users should be if they bothered to register Amplitude LE!

Eventually, as in, when we make more amps available. Not "eventually, if you wait long enough". :) Perhaps in the next few months.

Cheers,
