I rewired drumcore 2 into Riffworks standard. And It doesnt crash!! Not yet anyway...
Can anyone tell me if theres a way to record the rewired drums into riffworks somehow. AT this point I can only jam along with Drumcore, not save anything? anyone?

Merry Christmas Everyone,

The sound is alright. Id hope to use it on RW 2, right along with with Toontrack eZdrummer, FXpansion DFH, BFD and all those OUTSTANDING midi drummers. If I were to have to choose one over the other if SSW were to update RWS with compatibility when they release the fix.. HAnds Down.. I'll take ToonTrack EZdrummer.

I'm glad to hear that! Santa's bringing me EZ Drummer based on some excellent reviews I've read and the samples at their site. I have a friend with a MIDI drum kit, he's gonna be my "instant drummer" for Cubase LOL

FWIW I'm not totally sure, but when you mixdown the audio from a rewire device should go with the RiffWorks audio...so I think it would be included when you mix to riff? It'd be static at that point but if you had a blank riff and did mix to riff, you should end up with the drum track in it. It should also end up in a mix to wav file.

Is there anyone who can tell a little bit more about the interaction of DrumCore 2 and RiffWorks 2 through ReWire? You got my attention. ;)

JJ THat did work...

Heres a brief overview to record music with Drumcore 2 with Riffworks Standard.

Run RW2

Run DrumCore 2 from directory

Make Sure 'Rewire' box is checked in bottom left hand corner of DrumCore Window.

Now on RW2, click the riff you want to start recording, CLick BAckup, REwire; Right Click on one of the 4 rewire text boxes, select Drumcore from the list.

Now Your ready to Pick up your instrument....

Change the beats from within the Drumcore window itself.. Hit record when you're ready. Also after you record you can change the beats around on that recording, on the fly.

When Your All set with something that sounds good, click Mix from the top row Bottons on Riffworks, Click Mix to riff

Done :)
