Hi , i upgrade to riffwork standar from line 6 v1.1 edition... i have windows xp sp2.. on a d-linkrouter wireless in my home studio.. i can login here but can't activate the software.. im sick of it... i see the sonoma key with my user name.. i type in my password , same as login here and then nothing appen... i tried to desactivate de windows xp firewall.. still nothing.. it sucks so bad... im about to freak!

i can access any software without desinstalling firewall or something so this software should use the same normal freaking way to access the internet

anybody add the same issue?

I recall being in the same situation – very frustrating. In fact, I got stuck in some endless loop which kept returning me to the login/New Costumer form page. Somehow, I eventually got it right.

Have you tried having Sonoma re-send your password?

It seems to me that you must register in each section of the site – even if you are a registered forum member. Try registering again using the same login and password. If it tells you, you’re already registered, try the “Forgot the password” path.

This is sick... i make it work like this... go in the installation folder.. right click on riffwork standard pick then properties... compatibility and i run this program as windows 98/me and bang it registred and pop up in the software... wow it is supposed to be for windows xp

Ok im in the software but if i try to use amplitube le it said (make sure that the software is installed properly) so there is a problem running riffworks standard on my p4 3 gigs windows xp sp2 1 gig ddr 400 with m-audio project mix firewire... i can play guitar dry i ear it but i can use any vst with it.. any clue please tech guru of this software?

Cant run the software if im not in compatibilities emulation windows 98/me on windows xp..... any vst plugin faILED and riffworks crash

It took me a couple of attempts and the directions must be followed very closely. Also, if you go to your account within the store, there should an xp version of RWS and, of course, a copy of Amplitube Lite to download.

After Amplitube gets installed, it can be found by going to Riff Effects in RWS. Once there, turn off the hardware button (at the bottom) and click on the effects button just below it. A window will pop up within RWS/Riff Effects with a toolbar. On the left side of the toolbar is an Amp button – Amplitube is found there.

By the way, there is a list somewhere on the site of compatible devices.

I use GuitarPort and PODxt and so, I my experience is probably different.

Sorry, if I am covering ground you've already traveled.

By the way, I did my installation over the Thanksgiving Holidays and so, the tech guys weren’t around. Fortunately, after the moderators returned after Thanksgiving, they resolved my problems quickly.

thanks for the help but it's a more complicated bug.. i tried everything from regedit riffworks delete key to re-installing clean....uninstall the line 6 edition V1.1 i had on it... i must have tried the demo before , i would never bought this soft.... still using the line 6 edition v1 but was tired of transporting the pod xt between my computers...

problem is

- could not activate riffworks ..nothing append after entering password (resolve by running riffworks standard.exe in emulation windows 98/Me) what the ????

- software run , drummer lock when changing to some double bass drum and cant change to another one.. rex drum loop work fine

- try to run Amplitube Le crash because im in windows emulation, no vst plugins are working

- i can record dry guitar signal with drum no problem

im using windows xp sp2 i really don't understand what can bug this software.. it is almost fresh installation with only music soft on it

-P4 3 ghz
-1gig ram
-hdd for windows
-hdd for audio
-m-audio sound card projectmix firewire new driver (m-audio ASIO)
everything is up to date

so it is activate but not working like it is supposed to (VST plugins) purpose

Let me try to help, but I don't completely understand what is going on.

"Windows emulation" sounds bad. Why are you running it in this mode?

I see that you have bought RiffWorks Standard. When you launch it now, what exactly happens?

hi Dan, ok after installing i tried to activate.. the windows activation disapear and nothing append.. i though it was not connecting to the server.. i tried to desactivate firewall and things.. but after a while i think of trying to run the executable in compatibilitie mode.. i try windows 2000 with no luck..windows nt ... and then windows 98/me and the activate windows disapear and lauch the software.. so i was ok this is the way to go.. (but there is a problem running it that way) so i can see what the software look like but im not able to use it stable like my first riffwork line 6 edition V 1.1 with the pod xt .. i wanted the standart to be able to record with my vetta.... i see the asio driver seem to work properly i can see my m-audio projectmix input and all.. i have good latency.. it's a installation problem it said when it crash when i try to load a vst plugins.. (amplitube le )
