Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I'll click on a riff and try to drag it to the songline, but unlike in RW1 you can't actually see the riff moving. Not the end of the world but the way it is now makes it a very clumsy process when building a song. So is this the way it is supposed to work, or is it just my computer?

You should be able to see the marker advance when you play the song timeline bar. In addition, unlike the previous version (assuming you’re using RWS) you should be able to point and click and therefore, move the marker to any place along the timeline – not just at the beginning of the song or a riff.

Thanks for your response but my problem is not with the marker advancing on the songline, it's with dragging a riff from the riff section to the songline. Just incase it matters, I am using RW2 Line 6 edition, not Standard. Thanks again.

Sorry for the misinterpretation. Okay, let me try again.

If you’re asking about seeing a riff box (colored rectangle) when you drag it to the timeline window with the mouse - it is visible on RW as I drag it to the timeline. It actually becomes semi-transparent while moving and become opaque once it reaches the window. I have both versions of RW and they behave the same in this aspect.

Let me know if I didn’t answer your question.

I've seen some weird behaviour in RW2 standard surrounding the songbar and riffs getting dragged around when Im turning knobs on the Compressor (tm) and EQ (tm)..

Hi Gary,

Can you respond with your computer's specifications, including processor, RAM and OS details?

As stated, you should be able to see the riffs as you drag them up to the Song Time Line. However, the movement can be choppy depending on your computer's speed, so you might not see the movement if you move you drag the riff quickly.

WindowsXP 2000, Intel Pentium 4 1.7GHz, 1GB RAM. It's weird because when I was using RW1 my computer was running with only 512MB RAM and there was no issue. Hopefully this information helps. Again it's not that big of a deal because it does work, it's just a little annoying. Thanks again.

Hi Gary,

Your computer doesn't quite meet our minimum system requirements, so it's probably struggling a bit when dragging riffs. How does it behave when you use the layer INFO (AutoGain) function?

RW1 wasn't nearly as processor intensive as the newer version is, mostly due to some fancier drawing tricks that we're doing in RW2.

I'm confused, because the line 6 website under requirements reads; Pentium 4 -1.2GHz or better(2.5GHz Recommened), Windows XP and 512MB(1-GB or more recommended)RAM. I realize I'm under the recommended, But I thought I was a little above the minimum requirements, unless I read it wrong. I have not had RW2 for that long but so far I have not experienced any other issues. In fact most functions such as mixing a song and loading a song are much faster than RW1. So I guess my only options are to upgrade or buy a new computer, so I'll probably just live with it until I'm ready to upgrade. Thanks again for your help I really appreciate it. Gary
