Man, am I glad I won mine at a PBS auction! Got the full standard edition for less than 80 bucks, WITH a free year of rifflink!

I still have a licensed line 6 edition as well (which I plan to crossgrade to standard before that goes up by ten bucks).

I could sell the second license or give it to a friend if I wanted right?

It's great that you got it from PBS. We're participating in those auctions again this year.

As per the License Agreement you've agreed to this:

"...This Licensed Software is licensed (not sold), and its use is subject to the terms of this Agreement...You are not licensed to sell, license or distribute the Associated Media (RiffWorks) on a stand-alone basis or as part of any collection, product or service...This License is granted to the original licensee and is not transferable."

Yadayadayada. Sorry you are not able to sell your RiffWorks license as per that doc.

You are only supposed to install RiffWorks on up to two machines per copy though, so having two licenses would be beneficial if you want it on more than two machines.

Thanks,
Michelle

And that would also allow me to create two sonoma keys correct?

Yes, you would have to create an additional sonomakey like beauzeau2 or something.

Michelle,

Sounds good.

BTW, in regards to the sale of the license. Would the same hold true if I kept the Line 6 version instead of crossgrading it? For instance, if I sold the podxt live. Isn't the software actually licensed to the device itself? And if it is, can that license be transferred to another product (like a toneport?) so that I can keep the license (if that's what I HAVE to do) when I sell the device?

Sorry I don't know the answer to that question. That's a question for Line 6 since you bought it from them.

Thanks,
