JJ - If I attempt to start RWS without my Pod XTL plugged in to the USB, it hangs every time, unless I disable the TV Tuner first and do a warm boot. I found it somewhere in cyberspace when searching the whole ASIO thing. It is some crazy stuff.

I have zero knowledge of how this stuff works, but it sounds like the TV tuner driver is occupying some spot that RiffWorks is looking at and thinks it's ASIO...but it's not. Man I'm glad I'm not a programmer, because I'd quickly have become an unemployed programmer! LOL

I know ASIO4ALL isnt recommended but there are times when I absolutely need to use my soundcard and the regular Creative ASIO drivers have never worked for me. Once I get a laptop too, not anytime soon though, Ill need to be able to use Riffworks without a line 6 device to mix and stuff.

Thats a lot of diamonds from Windsor!

It's clashing with something else, no question. The code you installed is the same as mine, so it's something in your system that its not getting along with, which we need to help you find, so we can help figure out what to do with it.

Did you try MSCONFIG thingy? That shuts off all the active non-system programs that could conflict with it. At least doing the first step of turning off all the Startups (except rundll32) would least narrow down whether the problem is something in startup (easy to find and fix) or something else.

I suggest start with that and let us know if RiffWorks starts or not after they're turned off. It's easy, won't hurt anything and only takes a few minutes to see!
