Thanks for the feedback!

RiffLink and all of its many features are coming together and we're working hard to improve the import functionality. The engineers are down at NAMM right now, but when they return we'll be getting back to testing and working out the bugs that plague RiffLink.

Being able to import .wav files is high up on the to-do list for a future version of RiffWorks, so in the mean time we encourage people to use RiffWorks in conjunction with Reason (using ReWire) which has two very good samplers built-in. Reason adds a new world of functionality to RiffWorks, but there's a learning curve there that scares some people off.

Thanks again, and we encourage everyone to keep the feedback coming.

If you were a dog Mickey, your testicles would be a "good thing"!
Mind you, maybe you don't need to be a dog for them to be a "good thing"!
Cheers!

Okay guys, I’m lost! This tread is getting too intellectual.

And gator, I think many of us fear the answer to you last question. LOL

pooterpatty is a silly, nonsensical name that I use to register myself on public forums for two reasons - 1.)it's memorable, and 2.)it's never already taken.

alternately, if you've ever walked in a cow pasture, you'd have a purdy good idea of what a pooterpatty is.

Randy has done a great job answering many of the issues you guys are bringing up. I am going to make a couple of quick comments just for fun.

1.) TonePort KB37 not compatible.
I am sad about this. However a free update is going to fix this very soon. More compatibility is important.

2.) Line6 and SWW
I really like many of Line6's products. They also have tons of them. Most of them are primarily hardware. SWW has 1 product. To SWW software is about support, community, communication and evolution. We are very different companies. RiffWorks and Line6 interfaces/amp models are a great combination for guitarists, yet our companies do need to work together better.

3.) RiffLink
When was the last time you used rifflink? blue4u, I would like to get you on the beta list for the upcoming update. There have been lots of improvements to the system over the months, and more to come. RiffLink is an very innovative product. Its improving and its going to take time to make it perfect. Its already more stable then it was months ago.

4.) Hardware support.
All asio devices should work. Please let us know if you find one that doesn't.

5.) Overdue features.
The features you are asking for here would be great. I would love to see them. Over the last year or two we shipped our online drum store, universal macos version, added basic asio and vst support, improved rifflink, added more drums, redesigned our user interface, fixed bugs, handled support, listened to riffcaster, threw riffrumbles, built new industry relationships, and so on.

Thanks for everyones comments here. Keep them coming. We are listening, it just takes time to make everything happen. Software tends to be a very slow process if you want to get it right.

In 2007 I would like to see more compatibility and more interoperability. I want the core features of Rifflink to be rock solid. I want a few surprises to come along as well.

It gives me the warm tinglies to know that the muckety-mucks at SWW are actively browsing their forum, replying to users' comments, and just generally striving to improve an already fantastic product. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Line 6 should take a lesson from you folks on how to perform customer support.

I think y'all have a pretty good handle on what we end-users want to see in the next version of RW. I understand that coding software takes time (if you want to do it right), and I'm more than willing to wait. You can bet I'll be one of the first in line to buy the next version of RiffWorks, but I'll be thinking long and hard before buying another Line 6 product (even though their hardware kicks butt).

It's not about how what you pay. It's about how you're treated.

Pooterpatty, regarding your earlier response to gatorjj:

When I was 14-15, I lived on a cattle ranch in Buffalo, Texas (close to the well-known town of Palestine, Texas). So, I could make a pretty good guess. LOL

Thankfully, no one has resorted to using a cheap line like “it’s getting deep around here.” :P

Seriously, welcome to the Forum! :)

I'm happy to be on the beta list Dan. Let me know...

Looking forward to new directions. Congrats on your relationship with IK. They are doing AMAZING things with software. Their Amplitube 2 release rivals the best of 'em!! Good move to have them as distributors.

Peace,
Rich
