the Auto-Mute Layers function is great for doing multiple takes--it would be even greater if there was an option to listen back to each take automatically when you were through. the only difficulty (beyond time and effort of course) is how to separate layers from, for example, rhythm takes and lead takes so that it doesn't automatically play back every layer when you just wanted to hear the new takes from the Solo. one way would be to separate them by the instrument icon so that, for example, it would play back each Bass track one at a time regardless of the recording session they were created in. another would be to tag each layer with an identifier so that only takes recorded in a particular session would be individually unmuted during playback. or maybe a "lock" that would tell RWS to play (or not) that layer as it on each pass.

That would be handy. Now I go through and un-mute each layer and listen to it and if it's a keeper I copy the Riff and name it something different. It would be cool if you could just drag takes to the Riff box and it would make a new Riff with just that take in it too.
