Help on GuitarPort

I am new to RW and need help in using it.
I had bought StealthPllug and have not been able to use it with RW. Any advise?
The StealthPlug also came with AmpliTube 2 Live, but I can't use both at the same time because they both use ASIO. Can't share?
Any recommendations is greatly appreciated!!! Do I have to buy a new GuitarPort and what do you recommend that would be compatible with RW?

I am looking to see what I need to do to start using RW and having some fun! This is the 1st time I am doing something like this. Never had the experience. Is StealthPlug compatible with RW and if not what would you recommend? Also how does Amplitube 2 Live work with RW? Any suggestions?

Hi Santias, I'm not sure how much help I can be but I'll give it a shot. Here's the current "recommended" interface list from Sonoma http://www.sonomawireworks.com/riffworksrequirements.php

StealthPlug is not on there and I seem to recall there's an issue currently with it and RiffWorks. Sonoma and IK have some kind of relationship (i.e. Amplitube LE is bundled with Standard, so I'm sure they know each other!). Hopefully it's something they can get sorted out in the future.

Thanks for the feedback. I did upgrade to ASIO4All and finally got sound. What I need to know is what guitar rig should I be using to create. RW does not recognize the StealthPlug and I keep seeing GearBox, TonePort, etc. Would I need to go and buy one of these to have RW work properly and which one is highly recommended?
I hope I didn't make a mistake is purchasing RW. It seems like a solid product.

Santias, although ASIO4ALL is not "recommended" if it works for you (like it does me) then you should be able to use it for input through your soundcard. I've never tried to record with it (I just use it to play through the PC speakers) but I think it will work for recording...give it a shot, and you should at least be able to use Amplitube SE with that for some amp sound.

You don't need to buy the Line6 hardware if you have RW Standard, one of the recommended interfaces should work just as well. You might search around the forum or if some of the people here are using ones that are not on the list maybe they'll pipe up (I use a Focusrite Saffire which is not on the list but works great).

Thanks gatprj. I'll continue to play with and see what results Iget. I used StelthPlu with Amplitube 2 Live and it's great! I just need to figure out how I can get bothe RW and the StealthPlu to work together.

The StealthPlug works great by itself or when using AmpliTube 2 Live. But I am having problems getting RWS to recognize it. I tried to create a riff and nada! So either I am doing something wrong or ????
I'll keep trying and when something comes up, I'll post it here!

Please do.......I do not think it is you........at this point the stealthplug and RW do not get along........but nothing a patch can't fix!!
