im trying to upgrade to version 2.0 (riffworks) with the fre

hi

im having trouble getting the free upgrade for riffworks at the moment i have 1.0, but i want to upgrade to 2.0, its says its a free upgrade after febuary 1st 2006 which applys to me.

Also my line 6 monkey dosn't connect to the internet. I think line 6 monkey is the problem but im not sure.

The programme was loaded from a cd and its the RIFFTRACKER package.

yes im using version 1.0 which was on the cd.
i do have a login on line6 monkey and i know its valid, but is says it cant connect to the inetrnet to look for updates.

i think u have to load monkey v1.5 first at line6.com,

then open and follow the rest of the instuctions.

do u know why the FreeRiffworks 2 button dosn't appear on line6 monkey.
Also i dont think i have a licence key? does that mean i have to pay to get one? after all this is loaded from the rifftracker cd package.

The lastest Monkey is version 1.15. Make sure that's up to date. Make sure you're logged-in in the Monkey and check for up-dates.
I can't remember exactly where it was in Monkey.....I think maybe optional add-ons...but there should be a link or button to update your hardware to the free version 2. This will only up-date the hardware. You still need download and install version 2.

i brought my rifftracker cd after feb 1st 06, but have unistalled it since then should that be problem when trying to free upgrade. p.s i still cant find the free upgrade button.

That might be the problem because the Monkey won't see RiffWorks. Why did you uninstall it. You will want it installed also when you upgrade to RW 2 Line6 version as to transfer drummers from: ProgramLine6RiffWorksDrummers to: Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSonoma Wire WorksDrummers

The message indicates that the Monkey is unable to find your Internet connection,s hostname and offered a couple of trouble shooting options (see your message above). Did you try any of those suggestions?

I got this same problem too today (Same error code).

I started today a line 6 monkey to check out do I need upgrade something. It uploaded 3 new versions of the monkey and now the version is 1.21

it is saying that it couldn't connect to determinate upgrades..

I have riffworks standard and line edition both installed.

Checked all firewall and popup blockers (none). Nothing should prevent the connect.
