I recently purchased a GuitarPort with Gearbox/Riffworks software bundle. I installed the software on my Mac running 10.4.8, and installed all of the various updates downloaded online. GearBox works fine. Line 6 Monkey indicates everything is good. However, Riffworks will not launch. The application appears in the menu bar for half a second but fails to launch. Please advise! Thank you.

If you bought Guitarport Rifftracker, the hardware software bundle, you are running RiffWorks 1.0 which is not mac compatible. You are entitled to a free upgrade for the Line 6 edition of Riffworks 2.0. Did you get that upgrade? What does the monkey say you have?

I have RiffWorks Line 6 version 2 installed and Monkey says everything is current and activated. I have tried removing and reinstalling RiffWorks several times to no avail.

Do you have an Intel mac?
If yes, you need to create an aggregate audio device.
For some reason, Apple decided to make the Input and Output show up as separate device in CoreAudio on the IntelMacs. Why? Who knows...

Read this for the steps:
