riffer7777,

This may not be helpful but I have a Pentium 4 with 3.00 GHz with1 GB Ram and have no break-up issues.

Hay riffer, I've run RW on my P4 2.4G / 1Gb ram and it would be fine through tracking, but when I'd start laying a lot of effects and have a lot of riffs is when I'd run into processing issues.

I upgraded to a DualCore recently and it's got horses to spare now.

Celeron pros are crap. Seriously doesn't matter what class they are, they are cheap and not good performers. Upgrading the cpu to a P4 will make a world of difference. Don't even hesitate!

I just noticed you went ahead.......great. I hope it wasn't much more to go the the 3Ghz chip......you would have never noticed a difference between 2.8 and 3.0.

I hope you have a nice smooth recording experience now!

I answered you on my boards.........

As a rule of thumb I always get a new fan/heatsink when going up in a processor. The higher the clock speed the hotter the temp.......plus fans are cheap and always make good sense to keep in good shape. Can't go wrong with a new fan, and fresh paste!
