hey everyone. i just downloaded riffworks demo last night and i tried to use it today. i use my creative soundcard as both input and output (audigy 2 zs pro). but i clicked on "audio setup" and i saw that as asio input "creative asio" is selected but when i tried to choose the output channel i saw that there were no options in output channel list box. then i tried to change the asio. there are two other options regarding to my audigy sound card but when i chose them, the software crashed and closed itself. now i cant use my soundcard as i/o device and i dont have any pod or fastrack or whatsoever to have an input. help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Hi Cemevin,

Welcome to the Sonoma board.

You may want to try ASIO4ALL, This seems to work for me. But it is not officially supported by Sonoma. http://www.asio4all.com/

hey again. i tried asio4all, first it worked but now i cant choose it from audio setup. it gives a runtime error... i wrote it as another post too more in detail.. anyone have a solution for these runtime errors with audio setup? i dont have any troubles with using all kinda amp stuff in program like amplitube or so on but now i cant even hear and sound... although my soundcard has low latency asio i cant even use it and now asio4all is gone too. will this bug be fixed or what s the solution?

i runned the program in compatibility mode with windows 98 and now i can choose asio4all driver without a problem.. so is the problem about windows xp? i have home edition sp2 but no firewall problem or something with riffworks. anyway it works now.

cemevin, some of us have success running ASIO4ALLv2 with XP and some don't. It runs fine for me in XP and Media Center 2005 but a lot have had trouble with it. I have no idea why!

the weird thing is that it used to work in xp , now it doesnt; although it s been just 30 mins since it used to work. and running it in windows 98 mode doesnt kinda change anything except that i could listen to what i ve recorded in kinda slow motion. and i cant even choose amps now in that mode. maybe it s about xp service pack 2 or somethin i dunno. but this demo has become totally useless now which upset me most :( coz i liked the program when i first had the chance to try it normally. anyway i hope the programmers will notice the source of this c++ runtime error and do somethin for it. cya everyone

edit: the program gives same runtime error when i try to creative asio too.. although creative asio works in my steinberg cubasis. so asio4all error and creative asio error are same; once i open the program, they are already chosen in audio setup settings, but there s no output option and latency etc are all 0 and i cant open asio settings. whenever i attempt to choose asio4all or creative asio it crashes like this.

We really recommend picking up an audio interface that has factory ASIO support. Anything you do to get the Audigy working will just be a hack in the end.

Good luck!
