Every time I start RiffWorks I get the message to upgrade to version 2.1. I've already upgraded my software 3 times and I can't get rid of the message!! Anyone else having this problem?

Also, RiffLink seems even buggier than before. It crashes within seconds. The NI Guitar Rig 2 bug is still here (can't change patches after recording without a crash). Sorry guys but there are no real improvements in version 2.1 for me. This is a great product with some nasty bugs!

I'm running Windows XP SP2 with a Pentium 2.4Ghz and 1Gig RAM on ASUS P4PE Motherboard. Hard drive is WD 7200 RPM and I just did a complete reformat.

Hi,

I´ve got kind of the same problem. The update actually worked, RiffWorks tells me the build is 2707 but still asks to upgrade every time I start the problem.

Everything works fine, so it´s not really a problem but I wonder what happens when the next update comes....

blue4u and gnollozorr,
Click on the RiffWorks logo, what build are you running? 2.1.0.2710 is the latest and greatest. The server won't tell you to update if you are running 2710. I have seen it happen where someone downloads the updater, but they still have an earlier updater in their downloads directory and they run that by accident. Check and make sure you don't have any old downloads of previous updaters?

Sorry about the bug in GuitarRig2. I know about it and I'm working on it. The work around is to close the GuitarRig window before you switch back to the RiffWorks window. It's a bit of a pain, but it should keep it working for now. I talked with NI when we were in Germany about getting it fixed. They have some copy protection that prevents me from running the debugger when the GuitarRig plugin is loaded, so I'm trying to get them to send me a build without that. Until they do, I can't do much to fix the problem.

cheers,
dug
