as some of you know ive had trouble running riffworks standard with my packard bell celeron d pc.i spoke with randy at sonoma and he thought it would be a good idea for me to get some feedback on getting a new pc that would be compatible for me to end all my troubles.what kind of soundcard, graphics,pc,processor, ghz, etc etc to get.any feedback would be appreciated.ive had trouble with graphics breaking up and ive tried putting pentium 4 3.0ghz in the packard bell but still had problems, its time to stop cutting corners.im not going near vista windows.in uk ther are plenty of pcs with xp and they are going down in price because of the change over.cheers.what have you got? does standard run very smoothly?

DELL Dimension 9200 with Intel Core 2 CPU - 2.13GHz with 2Gb RAM. Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi soundcard with a 256Mb ATI Radeon X1300PRO video card.

I'm really happy with my computer. I worked in local government and my job was to buy computers for all schools in an education authority. Having put over £500,000 worth of DELLs in, I've always been happy with their robustness and the reliability. I've now got 3 DELLs at home and have never had to use their support service, so I can't comment on it. The fact I've never used them says a lot though!

Hope this is useful info and good luck in the search.
Cheers!
Scott

RW runs great on my 2.28ghz p4 with 1.75gig of missmatched ram (i guess i should get another 1gig stick and get it running dual channel but if it ain't broke i tend to not want to fix it.) i put in an ASUS motherboard which solved some USB compatability problems. i keep this computer pretty spare--nothing runs in the background, basic graphic environment, no programs that i can live without. my p4 does not hyper-thread and if yours does i would recommend disabling it and trying RW then (this is done in the BIOS setup screen and can be un-done at any time.)
