I just recently downloaded the demo version of the Riffworks from Line 6. I'm using it with my PodXT. It sets up fine but when i try to record or play any of the drum tracks I get no volume. I can see the levels on the Riffwork monitors fluctuate when i strum the guitar but I get no sound at all. I've tried changing the audio settings but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,

You need to have your speakers and/or headphones plugged directly into the PodXT to be able to hear the audio from RiffWorks as RiffWorks uses that device as the soundcard.

Please let us know if you need further assistance,
Randy

ah ok. So i need to monitor through the Pods phone output? I tried that but I dont hear any of the drum loops activated through riffworks, just the Pods signal.

You can use the headphone outputs or the 1/4" left and right outputs on the back. However, if you're not hearing the drummers then something still isn't setup right. Make sure you have the Pod's CHAN VOL and Output knobs turned up a bit.

Also, please open RiffWorks and click on the AUDIO SETUP button. Select the PodXT if it's not already selected. If it's already selected, can you tell me what's displayed in the various fields?

Thanks,
Randy

Definitely great customer service. If I can get this up and running I will definitely be purchasing a copy. I will give Randy's suggestion a try and report back. Thanks again.

Okay I finally got some sound! Only problem now is that when I play the drum tracks I get a horrible fuzz noise every 5 seconds. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Out of curiosity are you using a dual core computer?

not sure what a dual core computer is, so i'm gonna have to say no. The noise is a loud static hiss which is unbearable. It happens every 3 or 4 seconds when i record. I'm lost.

What buffer size are you using?

This is pretty strange and I've asked an engineer to look into this as well.

I'm not getting audio. When I select audio setup I have no options available for playback or recording. Do I need to download AISO driver

Welcome BVD,

What ASIO device are you using?

These are the ones we recommend:
