I am using PodXT connected via USB, sometimes I lose all sound. Initially, (after my heart attack :-)) I went through all manner of stuff to resolve it including a system restore !!! I have since discovered that for some reason, via USB, the Pod and PC fall out with each other and stop talking, possibly because of all the bum notes I play !!!

When this happens I usually find, by clicking on the "Audio Setup" button in Riffworks, that the ASIO Device has disappeared (eg LINE 6 Pod). This can be resolved by simply unplugging and re-plugging the PC end of the USB cable. This can be done without exiting any software on my PC running Windows Home SP2.

I hope this helps,

Regards,

Bill.

Ok i've tried again and to no avail. I tried changing the buffer size and amount of clipping, still didnt work and have that nasty fuzz/hiss every 4 seconds. I'm curious if it has anything to do with the PodXT clipping as I notice that when this happens the LED on the PodXt shows the unit clipping. However all my levels are at a minimum... ie Podxt level and guitar.

Hi riffboy76,

Sorry to hear you're still having problems.
What other USB devices do you have connected to your computer?
Do you use a WiFi card to connect to the internet?

I had sound problems yesterday and had to download and reinstall my L6 device (PODxt and GuitarPort) and Creative 32 bit drivers. Now, everthing is working.

This is the third time I've had to preform this ritual since upgrading to Vista.
