Been trying to download the RiffWorks demo version several times this morning (3/15/07). The resulting download is 0-bytes and (obviously) can't be opened / mounted.

Any suggestions?

We're experiencing much higher traffic than normal and are fixing our server. Sorry for the inconvenience. All will be ironed out soon.

Thanks for your patience,
Michelle

Cool...lotsa traffic is good, right?

Thanks for the quick reply.

And please wave the next time you pass Chris Finger Pianos for me. Used to live in Boulder and bought a fine instrument there.

Best-

Thanks for understanding - the traffic is exciting!

We have a piano from Chris Finger Pianos - my son just had a lesson on it yesterday :-)

Cheers,

Have fun!

It seems to be traffic related, as I was still having the problem this morning, then I finally was able to download the Mac version. But I'm out of alloted downloads for the PC version and I wasn't able to get it. Limiting the downloads while this problem is ongoing is crazy. Why would you limit the number of demo downloads anyway?

Hi dro,

I've reset your downloads. We like to know if people have problems before they click the download link too many times. I'll check with some people here about increasing the number of downloads.

If anyone else has run out of downloads let us know here or via the support link (not both please :) so that we can reset them for you.

Thanks,

Michelle,

I purchased RiffWorks and am now trying to download the full Windows version. I'm not having any luck. The browser never prompts me to save the file and I've now used up most of my allocated downloads trying to get it.

Hi guys,

Download problems.I see I am not alone with only partial downloads of Riffworks demo file.I have now just failed (for the eighth time) and always the same error"Riffworks Demo.exe.part. could not be saved because source file could not be read"
My platform is Windows Xp Home and I have disabled firewall and download accelerator.
Is the problem my end or yours?
Are there any users with possible workrounds?

Melg =(

Hi melg,

Most of the download problems were last weekend when we got totally blasted after a big email announcement went out. Notice most of the others were having problems around the 15th or 16th.

Which browser are you using to download? We know there is a problem with an MSN branded edition of IE. Do you have another one you could try, like FireFox?

thanks,
dug
