Is this possible,

I wish to load my creations into my Ipod and also pass to friends who are not musicians and therefore do not have Riffworks.

Is there a method to doing so?

You can mix it to a wave file. Then you should be able to find an application to convert it to MP3.

Absolutely!

Welcome to the RiffWorks forum Clanmac4. You'll find this is a really friendly and helpful place.

To save your RiffWorks songs to .mp3, you'll need a piece of audio conversion software - something like 'Audacity' is great 'cos it's free. RiffWorks doesn't save to .mp3 itself.

Save your song out of RiffWorks as a .wav or a .ogg file from the 'Save' menu; load the saved file in to Audacity and then save it out as a .mp3.

Good luck and remember to post your songs to RiffCaster so we (and your friends) can hear them too!
Cheers!
Scott

I have all my work in itunes and on my iPod. After mixing to a wave file add it to the itunes music folder, itunes has a converter to mix it to mp3. You don't need other software.

Audacity will let you tweak some of the parameters as sometimes exporting from RWS leaves the file low on volume or eq. It also lets you fade out or fade in really easily.
Cheers!

Another widely-used and free file converting program (i.e. .wav to mp3) is MusicMatch Jukebox. Super simple to use and has quite a few different types of mp3's to save to...mp3/mp3 pro/mp3 pro vbr (variable bit rate -VERY handy to lessen sound loss due to encoding). I've used it since I started converting files to mp3 and it works great!
