Hi guys, I am new to this forum but here is a question that has the guys at fruity loops stumped, has anyone had any experiece in rewiring riffworks 2.01 with f l studio i have tried but it wont rewire and neither can the guys from image line (fruity loops) any help would be appreciated thanks Ade.

Make sure you have the lastest ReWire dll (1.7.0.4096) in your system32 folder.

thanks, is this for riffworks or fruity loops and if for riffworks where will i get it as it is not in my system 32 folder in windows/system 32 files Ade.

Sorry that didn't help. I haven't worked with FL so have no experience with it.
I have ReWired Reason and Live to Riffworks.
I take it you are lauching RW first and then launching FL as so it'll rewire to RW.

Sorry.....other than that I haven't any other info to help you.

(BTW......ReWire is from Propellarheads.se and their site will have the latest ReWire dll)

Riffworks works as only Rewire Master. Does FL Studio work as a rewire slave? I had an older limited version that did not. Sorry just trying to be sure of what your trying to do. The Sonoma Team might be more helpful on this matter, hopefully someone can chime in here.

yeah it works fine with everything else as slave or master cant figure this one out thanks Ade

Are you using the Line 6 version of RW or Somona's RWS?

Way way back there was a thread on this and Fruity Loops did not appear to work with RiffWorks v1.1. I don't know if anything has changed since or if they figured out what the issue was!

got both and it does'nt work with either of them i have spoke to image line (fruity loops) and they have also confimed the prob so i dont know if its a fl prob or riffworks prob i thought that rewire was a universal thing that software had to conform to a standard protocol but maybe not. i hope that one side will figure it out before i go crazy thanks for your comments guys Ade.

Hello,

Nope doesn't work here either, I have all the latest versions of both programs RW2 Standard, FLS 7.2 I can get the small Rewire FL Studio window to show up but when I click the fruit it doesn't open FLS. The funny thing is when I tried to close RW2 then the FLS window became active full screen as normal, so I cancelled the close of RW but it didn't work still. FLStudio works OK rewired to Sonar 6.2 Pro.

has anybody got any ideas about this i have asked tech supp but cant seem to get a response from them. all these universal standards make me laugh rewire ,general midi , vsti etc because nobody conforms to a standard they just all go thier own way its a right pain in the ass for everybody trying to get things to work.

ReWire is Propellerheads technology and they designed it so their software called Reason could work with other apps. I use RiffWorks and have absolutely no problems ReWiring Reason to RW and also ReWiring Albeton Live6 to RW. I also can ReWire Reason to Live6. I would have to say the problem is with FL.

BTW...I also have a program I don't use called Kinetic that is supose to be a ReWire slave....and it is........a damn lousy and useless one too.
