Hello,
I can not register my Riffworks 2.1 because I cannot load ver 1 on to Vista it does not run the program.
I need to load ver 1 on Vista first, impossible so now what, I emailed tech support to give me a key so I can have a fresh ver 2 of riffworks that I can use with vista, so I don't have to deal with this mess, but its been over a week now and no response.
I also purchased 10 or more drummer pacs that don't work, I really need soom help here to get this up and running on my New Lap Top.
Checked with Line 6 and they said it your problem that you need to give me a free upgrade key so I can do a fresh install and register it at the same time. With ver 2
Please send me this upgrade key and instructions so I can be on my way.

Line 6 Monkey doesn't see the riffworks ver 1 because it can't be installed on windows vista, so now I have a loop problem going on, I can't register ver 2 because it doesn't see ver 1 and it says that I have to purchased riff works, which I have because I have proof of purchase, and a Licence key from Line 6.
Please help me to get riffworks up and running I spent a lot of money on this product to have it not work.

Hi mjrock62,

I'm sure one of the Sonoma folks will be along soon, or you might want to put in a support request with them to get their attention more quickly.

Good luck!

Michelangelo,

I apologize for the delay. I did respond to your support request today and had it forwarded to both the marketing and engineering departments. They will be with you shortly.

if anyone reads this wondering if RiffWorks will work with Vista--i had no problems with RiffWorks & Vista using a POD XTL via USB. i was not attempting an update like Hayden--just installing 2.0. unfortunately RiffWorks compatability was the only thing that i liked about Vista so i ended Ghosting back to XP. great news for Bill Gates who not only got his non-returnable software sale but doesn't have to support his crap product which is now gathering dust in my $hit $oftware drawer.

Hey pbear5,

You should be using RiffWorks version 2.1. There's a free update here:

Users can get the Standard update from:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/UpdateRWStandardV2_1.php

Users can get the Line 6 update from:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/UpdateRWLine6V2_1.php

Also, make sure you're using the most up to date drivers for your PODxt.

Download Gearbox 3.10 from http://www.line6.com/software

Hello Hayden,
I don't think you understand my problem!
1. I have Riffworks version 1, it cannot load on Windows Vista.
2. Even if I have the upgrade I cannot install it because I cannot load Version 1 at all.
3. I would need a complete full Version 2.1 with licence Key to install on Vista.
4. Since I have already paid for Riffworks and the upgrade, can you please send me a download for Version 2 with licence Key or send me a patch that is going to allow me to install version 1 with windows Vista.
5. All I need is for you to send me a complete copy of Version 2.1 with Licence key, and my problem would be solved. I can then disregard Riffworks version 1 all together, and have a fresh riffworks Version 2 working on my new Vista System.
6. I have downloaded and installed Version 2.1 but cannot register it due to the fact version 1 cannot be installed on Vista. It does not see it in Monkey.

Please send me the Licence Key for Version 2.1
Thank you Very Much!

Hello Michelangelo,

I've been discussing with Line 6 support and Sonoma Wire Works. I do believe, although I will have to verify this, that the upgrade is indeed a full installation. You will not need to have RiffWorks version 1 installed in order to go to version 2.1. However, I made a mistake. I assumed you had just purchased Rifftracker based on your original email and were trying to install it on Vista. I was not aware that your purchase had been made before February 1st 2006. So, you will not be able to to upgrade to the Line 6 Edition Version 2.1 using that installion and upgrade manual I sent you.

But, I told you that you are fully entitled to an upgrade, and I plan on keeping that promise.

Have no fear. All we want are happy music making customers.
