I have 12 bars to record a riff but the riff itself is 11 1/4 bars. How do I cut off the last 3/4 bar that I do not need? This is really annyong cause there is dead air between riffs when I try to connect the riffs into a song.

Welcome to the RiffWorks forum!

There's no way of 'cutting' the last three-quarters of a bar from the layer you've recorded, from within RiffWorks itself.
One suggestion would be to record your guitar part on the 'Song Layer' which has no 'start/stop' constraints.
Another option would be to record your song (with the 'dead air' included) and then save it out to an audio converter program like Audacity or Reaper. From within those pieces of software you can manually cut out the bits you don't want.
Bear in mind that your drummer pattern may sound strange as it will be tied in to the original 12 bar settings.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
Scott

Just like Scott said. I would recommend u record the song with the dead air included. then download Audacity and transfer the song there. From there you'll be able to cut the little part off.
