hi...I've used the demo a lot on my laptop and it's just great...now I installed it on my desktop pc I even got myself a new audiocard, but now the loading procedure always stucks at loading metronome: hi cowell
However the error appeared just after some time. I was able to use it two or three times but then the error appeard. I already reinstalled everything...without success...
thx in advance

This is a known issue that can usually be corrected by unplugging your usb device and reattaching before starting the program. When I use a Line 6 Toneport I get this everytime I start my pc, so whenever I start up I unplug the usb and reattach right away. I also have to do this to get any audio through it, whether I use riffworks or not.

Hi SiTH,

I'm sorry it's not working on your desktop. Please tell me what audio interface device you're using. RiffWorks is compatible only with ASIO audio interface devices.

Let us know,
Randy

thank you for your suggestions but the "usb trick" won't work...I unplugged every usb related hardware but nothing new...
I'm using a M-AUDIO Delta 2496 Audiophile (latest drivers) on a windows xp sp 2 machine

There are a few tested M-Audio devices that have been recommended but I don't think the Audiophile 2496 is one of them. The card is ASIO2 compatible though so I'd be surprised if it's that.
If it worked for a few times it would imply that everything was OK initially. Did you add or change anything (new drivers, software etc) between installation and the first signs of trouble? You could try a system restore to around that date and see what happens.
Are you running Windows XP Home, Media Center or Professional edition as a matter of interest?
Cheers!
Scott

I really changed nothing on the system ...I'm running the professional edition
(now I tried to delete every little bit in the registry related to riffworks...but there's no effect either)

EDIT: It worked till I closed down riffworks for the first time!

Have you tried re-downloading the demo and starting from scratch again?
I'm assuming you accessed your Sonoma account from the desktop machine and downloaded the demo directly, as opposed to copying over the downloaded demo file from your laptop?
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers!
Scott

Drop an e-mail to support@sonomawireworks.com and they'll get you more downloads. Give them your SonomaKey (username) and your e-mail address.

(or go here and fill in the details -> http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php)
Cheers!
