Everything worked fine until i upgraded to the latest version of RiffWorks. I upgraded to get my instant drummers to work.

Since upgrading. RiffWorks no longer produces any sound. When I click the Audio Setup button ASIO Device is blank and Output Channel is blank. If I click Open ASIO Control Panel the window closes and the control panel never opens.

If I press the Play Button I can see the VU meters moving.

I have checked everything in windows control panel (that I know to check) and everything is working and works fine.

I have the latest drivers and GearBox from line 6 installed and they work fine.

It seems the new version of RiffWorks is working for some on Vista.. so I just cant figure out what the problem is.

And yes, I have rebooted, unplugged the USB and replugged, and uninstalled RiffWorks and reinstalled.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Kevin

There is a known problem with the PODxt pro when updating the Line 6 Edition. We are working very hard to fix it.

I'm having the same problem - seems the POD Xt PRO owners no longer have a working Riffworks application after the 2.10.0 upgrade - see my post at Line6...

Are Sonoma getting anywhere with this?

Come on Sonoma, I want to get recording again!

This is the exact same issue I am having. I have a PODxt Pro and once I performed the upgrade to 2.10, no sound or ASIO compatible devices are listed.

mckirk,
I have been watching your post over on the line 6 forum. I see they have opened a ticket for you. Once you get an answer could you post it so we may find out what the solution may be as well? Thanks!

The frustration level is high on this one....

I used to get this happening all the time with my PODXT LIve and unplugging and replugging USB sorted it. I bought a new USB cable and it doesn't happen now so don't know if this will sort it for you.

Hello !
My problem has vanished because i expected the sound to come from the computerspeakers , now that i plugged
my amp to the hardware ( XT Live), it sounds good . Simple idea but not mine - a quick response from the supportcenter !

This all sounds like what I am currently having issues with using PODXT Live. Still nothing seems to be helpful. I have to crank everything to get any recording from guitars and now I have a useless recording software that sounds terrible! Cannot hear the drums over guitar or cannot hear drums over guitar, either way there is no middle ground here! Time to start looking for a new product.

Hi Dmack,

Do you have an open case number or an ongoing thread where I can look at the specific details for your case? If you're able to hear (even if barely) the drummers as well as the guitars, then the problem is entirely different then this case that we're discussing in this thread.

If you haven't already contacted us directly in support, please do so at http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php

Be sure to include all of the pertinent details you can think of.

Thanks,
Randy
