I purchased RW standard some time ago for my desktop computer and just bought a new laptop. Do I have to purchase the software again to add it to my laptop.
Thanks, Mike

You can install Riffworks on several computers........I think you have 5 downloads total if I'm not mistaken....plus if you run out of downloads , just let Sonoma know so they can reset your download count. We all have computer crashes and what not and will have to re-install sooner or later.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the extra downloads were only available on one machine. Thanks for the answer.

Does the above answer about multiple installs on different computers apply for downloading Mac and PC versions. I have one of each computer. The other question relating to this is, because i don't have my PC music computer connected to the internet and I want to get a new instant drummer sessions for instance, how could I do this? Go to the internet Mac (with its version of RW) and download and then copy onto CD and then to PC. Or can I download these add-ons completely outside of the RW environment - eg. thru normal download from Sonoma site?

I knew we could have the program on more than one machine, but what about the drummers? Aren't they keyed to just one machine? That being the case would you have to purchase drummers for each machine?

Jisg I believe they are all keyed to the user, not the computer. I have 2 machines with RW and all my drums on both.

Ditto to what gator stated. Also, as stated above, I am both a Mac and PC guy and there are downloads for both.

Sonoma Wire Works, unlike many companies, understands the complexity and dynamics of today’s use of computers within its customer’s homes. :)

The RiffWorks Standard EULA says you're allowed to install it on 2 computers that you own. Same with the InstantDrummer sessions.

You've got 5 downloads in your account in case a download times out on you or you need to reinstall RiffWorks on a computer at some point.

You can find the riveting EULA in the RiffWorks User Manual:

I guess I was ass suming it was like Line6's more greedy approach to purchasing add-ons.
Some night when I can't sleep I'll read up on that
riveting EULA

section.
I guess if I had 2 computers I would have found that out by now.

I've read elsewhere in this forum that you need to have any computer on which you install RiffWorks to be connected to the internet for activation. So if I have two computers, I need to connect both to the net (not at the same time of course) and activate them individually. Is this right?
