I have a new vista pc and i want to know how i would go about receiving all of the instant drummers which come with it. I have intalled it using the monkey and activated my purchase, but im not sure how to obtain them. I managed to successfully install my purchased drummers via a datastick. Will i have to transfer the default drummer files from my old pc in the same way or is there a download link to them?

Oh and one more thing! This might be better for a line 6 forum but i'll try you people here first:
I am thinking of buying a pod xt live. I'm wondering if i purchased for example the metal shop add-on for guitarport, would i be able to use it to upgrade my pod xt live and also if i did it the other way round by purchasing a pod add-on and using it to upgrade gearbox? Or would i need to purchase the upgrade for both products seperatly?

If you buy an add-on you can use it on one device at a time only but you can de-activate from one and activate on the other and vice-versa. You can find details on how to do this on the Line 6 site somewhere. I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it. No doubt if I'm wrong someone will soon tell us.....haha

You can transfer your model packs back and forth with your license key at any time between Line6 products (Back and forth if , over and over again if you wish). Log in to Line6 , go to my accounts and click on Transfer License Key, get instructions and voila - transfered from GuitarPort to the possible new XTL.

not sure what you mean here...did you mean to say upgrade GuitarPort? GearBox is free for any of the pods and GP. If you mean from POD (XTL) to GuitarPort...again the Transfer License Key page from the my account page at L6.

Someone else will have to field your question about Vista and drummers...
how I would go about receiving all of the instant drummers which come with it

...again not quite sure what you mean here. And quite possibly if you have a RiffWorks Line6 edition you should use the Line6 forum for Vista issues and their version of RW. They have quite a few articles in their Knowledge Base about Vista work arounds.

Hope that helps a little.

-----EDIT-----
Uncle Bill beat to the punch here while I was typing, but I checked again and the My Account route is where you want to end up.

dadgum dyslexia!

Excuse me, while I go play my brand new Line6 Varivioloncello, it models the viola better than my real one. It does pizzicato as well as my Variax does palm muting.

Does it mean laughing with your nuts or is it more of a Scottish thing ?

In Scotland we laugh with our nuts. In England they laugh at their nuts! ;)

The Macdonald clan don't carry quarter pounders under their kilts for nothing you know!! :D
Cheers!

Hey Ross, you still not sorted out yet ?

What exactly do you mean, a new Vista pc and the drummers that came with it ?

RW LIne6 has some drummers with it

RW Standard has some drummers with it

These appear automatically when you install Riffworks Line 6, not so sure about STD as I crossgraded.

I take it you mean these ? Your purchased drummers are, of course, separate.

If you're missing the free drummers that come with RW standard you can get Sonoma to put them as downloads on your account if they're not already there. If they're missing from RW's and your Sonoma downloads, send an email to one of the administrators and they'll reset your downloads.
