OGG files into MP3

Guys,
anybody knows how to transform an OGG file into a normal MP3 I can carry in my laptop or in my iPod???

Hey dmay,

You can do it with, amongst others, a free download called Audacity, you'll soon find it on the web, you can do lots of other stuff with it too.

There are quite a few audio converters out there but, like Bill points out, Audacity will do it (and for free!). Just make sure you download the additional plugin to allow .mp3 conversion to happen.

iTunes will also allow you to convert wave files into mp3 files. You can download iTunes from:

Scott recommended Audacity to me sometime ago and it’s been a great tool. I was a bit concerned when I upgraded (please down laugh) to Vista but Audacity continued to preformed well. It’s got a ton of the other features which I wish I had time to familiarize myself with.

Audacity has a new version thats in beta..its got alot of new features..i myself use aud. alot and like it a bucketfull.

If you guys have a Creative sound card you might already have a wave to mp3 conversion tool. Creative audio converter. I like it because I can convert batches of files and specify all the bit rates save locations and its very quick.

I have it (Creative converter) but never use it........got too used to Audacity.........great program.
