hi, anyone record using your own amp and effects?

how do you do it? use just a plug like stealth, to plug into from the amp?

i use my guitar amp as my pc speaker, with the guitar port.

not the best to do a good mix or listen to music, i know.

also, what does one do for monitors? stereo or 5way, or?

whats a good setup, reasonably priced? 100bucks or so?

i often run from my amp or floor processor from line out/headphones into gtr.port with a "no amp,no efxs" setting.. same with a mike,except i run it thru a Art tube pre amp to gtr.port...dont know if thats the way to do it,but works for me..

If you've got your computer anywhere near a decent Hifi amp and speakers you can do it like that. I go out from toneport analogue to cd/dvd or whatever on hifi with phono plugs, works fine for monitoring, I have got Jamo Studio 170 speakers tho so don't go and blow your speakers up or your head off....
