hi,

i'm thinking about getting a new pc, it has vista on it, i can have them install atleast 1g of ram, i think it's a dual core thing, lol.

i was worried about the bugs etc, i searched on this forum, you guys still having problems?

it's a good deal, about 500US, anyway, just wondering if there were gonna be some hoops i'd have to jump through.

oh and i'd crossgrade to standardRW also. that would work with a guitar port too?

thanks,
gary

Hi Gary,
I think a lot of the initial issues have been ironed out and RWS is Vista compatible. GuitarPort/GearBox should work fine but I'd recommend have 2Gb RAM minimum on your new PC.
Cheers!
Scott

I was among the first to take the plunge from xp to Vista (32 bit) and initially, it was a driver and software nightmare.

However, my RiffWorks Standard and Line 6 software made the transition seamlessly – right from the beginning –never a problem! In addition, I have never upgraded my memory but it’s probably a good idea if you're considering doing so. Some of the programs designed especially for Vista are memory hungry.
