hi all,
i get the new pc with 1.5gig ram today, cool enough. i can use song layers now, i hope. (another issue another time)

so here is the question(s) i did use search to read up on this, but....

i assume i start from ground up on installing RW, i have the v1 on a disc with my guitar port. i want to crossgrade.
can i skip the v2 upgrade step? would i lose the stuff i did with v2?

do i even need the disc!?

can i just crossgrade on this pc and then load from somewhere to the new one? without starting over?

should i just do a step by step to be safe?

i can keep what i have now on this pc, right? even the crossgrade? or is that for only 1 pc?

crossgrade is stil $69.99?

will lassie ever come home?

codes and keys and logins, oh my!

sorry, i can see this all going south on me for a week or 2.

thanks
gary

Hi Gary,

If you've already gone through the upgrade process on another computer, then you won't need to do that again. If you own RiffWorks Line 6 Edition V2, then you just need to head over to www.line6.com/software and download it. Once downloaded an installed you will need to authorize it for use on your new computer using the Line 6 Monkey. You should also be prompted for your SonomaKey login name and password upon launch. It's pretty straight forward, but we're here for you in case you have any questions.

Once you have it running and fully activated you should then go to our website and download all of the drummers you purchased from us. Alternatively, if you still have your old computer then you could burn the old drummers to CD and then just transfer them over to the new computer. Let us know if you need help with that.

The crossgrade price is still just $69.99 and details for going about crossgrading are located at http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Riffworks_Crossgrade

Oh, and I'm sorry to say that Lassie is gone my friend.

Best regards,
Randy

i'm bak.

i know, busy fingers might not be the devils whatever but i could screw up a s*** sandwich.

can i uninstall and delete all the drivers, installers, everything except the drummers and songs and start at d-loading rw v2?

rw came out in demo mode, monkey seems ok, 1.18, gear box has no more user tones and looks wierd, gport won't see that the drivers are installed and it's plugged in but nothing knows about it.

got all the id's but can't log on or anything, lol. i know i clicked on something i shouldn't have. took my eyes off the ball for 1 milly-second!

haven't tried it again coz it's late. i will in the morn, maybe things will be clearer.

Were you able to get this worked out? The login name and password are the same that you use to login to this forum.

When you say that GearBox no longer has "User Tones", do you mean that the presets you created are missing?

What exactly is the problem you're having?

i have everything working, it just takes persistance. the usb firmware is touchy, i need to un/re plug at start up, sometimes.

other than that everything seems fine, i have all the drummers and songs i had.

yes! the ones i kinda tweaked from presets and saved as user tones.
i loaded gb 3.1, is that why?
plus, i may be hallucinating, but gear box sounds alittle off. i will install again.
