Someone posted this at the Line 6 forum and I thought I'd share it here. This is a new totally free British amp VST and it sounds pretty darned good. I had a good jam with it and made a small demo, for those that don't have all the Line 6 stuff, this could really come in handy.

Right click and "extract all files"......I hope this is what you are asking. You will need to have it in whatever folder your other VSTs are in so you can find it in RW.

You need to move the file into your VST directory. Mine is c:/programfiles/vst. Then in Riffworks Standard at the bottom of the screen you turn on the hardware monitoring and select the "amp" drop down menu. This is also where you access the amplitube 2 live plug in. If you get a delay from the time you pick the string to the time you hear the signal(latency) then you need to decrease the buffer size for your audio device.

Ahh yeh nice one, done that, unfortunately i cant test it out now cus im back from uni and my parents wont appreciate me havin my amp on at this time! One question, for everyone really, Im playing through a line 6 pod xt, into a marshall avt 275, it seems that whatever setting i use through riffworks or amplitube 2 live, im getting a delay effect ( and i dont mean that in the way of..i play..it waits, then it plays my note ) i mean, i play, and for some reason its just not sounding right, also, it seems very trebly, so when im trying to lay down a backing track by playing a few chords, they sound horrible at the moment, im thinking maybe its to do with the pod xt, what setting should it be on? or is there a way to completely bypass the pod xt, i know you have to turn hardware off, and click the effects bit, but, for example, if on the pod xt, it is set to a distortion model, even if i go on a clean setting on the amplitube, it sounds like its still going through the pod xts model? ( make sense? ). Any advice?

If you've got a PodXT then I wouldn't even worry about Amp2 or anything else. Just record your Pod using the USB cable.

Another problem your having is that your amp is changing the sound of your Pod, this sound wont get recorded unless you use a microphone. You may want to try the Pod only with good studio headphones or some active flat response monitors.

Someone else may have some other suggestions.

If you really want the Pod to send a clean signal, you can do that by just setting up a patch with no amps or anything on, or go to Line6audio/midi devices under the tools menu and set the output to clean.

I'd go with Jason's suggestion. Ditch the amp and record straight from the POD via a USB cable in to the computer. Use headphones and/or monitors. Headphones will keep your Mum & Dad sweet when you're still recording at 3.00 in the morning! :)
Cheers!

Nice one ill give that a go, now i just need to learn how to write a song, only just recently got into the world of theory so this programme shud hopefully speed up my progress. Ive read alot of forums on here suggesting you can change a .wav file into a .rex or rex2 file, watever ther called, is there a simple way to do this without involving loads of other programmes and software? if it is simple, could someone put it in a step by step form for me to follow, thanks!

By the way, im pressuming by what was said back there 'if you have a pod xt i wouldnt bother with amplitube 2' does this mean the pod is basically better than amplitube?

The version of amplitube is very limited to three models and depends on your computers processing which results in latency. The PodXT has 42 models built in and does its own processing so latency won't be a factor.

If you have the full version of Amplitube 2, I'd surely use it. I agree on the PODxt vs. Amplitube 2 Live, though it's always nice to have choices!

Just been listening to your songs slinger, very impressed, how did u get the acoustic guitars sounding so clear? or was it just an electric using an amp setting that made it sound very convicing.

Thank you. I use a microphone and a Line 6 Toneport when I record acoustic. I havn't seen any good acoustic simluation patches for the PodXT. I believe Boss makes a decent pedal.
