Is this possible? I know Garageband accepts mp3's and aiff's. Is there a way within RiffWorks to save individual riffs, or export them as either of these formats?

yes you can save single riffs by useing the export button over to the left upper side...you can use the mix function to save to .ogg/wave..then you can convert to mp3 or such with one of the many free converters on the web..
