Hi All RiffWorks Lovers,

ANNOUNCEMENT : Name CHanged again to intelliRiffer
As you all know the lack of importing wav files or using existing wav file loops is Major Concern for users, so i have developed a Utility to convert wave files to compatible riffs that can be imported.

This is Absolutely Free.i hope riffworks soon adds wav import feature to Riffworks , till then this would help.

Download Url : http://rapidshare.com/files/46990321/intelliRiffer.exe.html

Please Give it a Go and let me know if it works.

**************************************************
Read the incuded Help File for instructions.
important : I have only tested this with line 6 edition 2.10. I am not sure if it can create files compatible with standard edition as i dont have access to that and hence cannot validate compatibility. Nevertheless a new riff should work with standard edition, Just loading riffs might have problems
***************************************************
Current Limitations :

1. Only 44100 Hz 16 bit wav files supported (you can always convert your mp3 loops to wav using some batch converter

2. Batch File Processing (i still have to figure out how to have it set up, take a folder and create a riff for each indiavidual wav file, or create a layered single riff of all the files.

3. Time Signature only of 4/4 currently supported

Features :
1 Create a Riff off a wav file(s) with layer , tempo control , bar length.

2. Open an existing Riff and import a wav into it, or change the file for any layer.

3. All layers by default are named same as the wav file.

4. Riff Title changes to saved riff name. and will show up as the Name in riff works.

5. import Song Layer, and Create a Song Layer from Wav, Great for one Shot Backing Track. or Perhaps to Jam along if you please.

Disclaimer : i Take no responsibility for any Damage this program makes. Save your work and test it out. This program is Not Assotiated with Sonoma Wireworks is any way. Use At Your OWN RISK!

Developed in Visual Basic 6.0 and uses some GNU licenced or freeware programs.

Nice concept but I'm not sure that "RiffWrecker" is the best name!
Cheers!

Scott,
The First Build of the app Wrecked my audio data so i came with this Name (to make me remember always to backup some files while beta testing).

Earlier i had named it RiffWorker.

:)

Again Name can always be changed later as long as it does not hurt anyone's feelings
.

THX,
Amit

So atalwar, you seem to be in the home stretch of development, do you dare predict a date of availability?

So does it wreck the orignal wave, or just make a wrecked copy of it?

WaveRiffer sounds great to me. I've been using Ableton Live Lite 4 to play the buggers, then mix to riff.

Sounds fantastic. I've been longing, yearning in fact, for a Wav import function. Thanks for your hard work.

If this software allows waves to come in I think I'd call it Riff-Tide

If I get this and a Variax will that mean I'm in heaven already ?
