Hi,
Having hard time with geting my vsti's to generate tracks in rewire slave mode.

Here is what's happening.

Everything works perfect in RealTime.

But when freezing to a mix (mix>mix to a riff). The Generated audio riff starts stuttering. I thougt it might have been sample rate issue but i think in rewire mode that is bypassed. using 44100 16 bit.

Anybody had any success with project5 and RW to use VSTI' ?

Does not happen in acid but then acid doesen't seem to record midi when set as a rewire slave.

Any Tricks / Ideas.

I can save the project5 file and then open without rewire and render the audio track split it up into chunks and get it into RW, but tweaking and automation here and there gets impossible.

Thx,
Amit

BTW did anybody have any success in using some application other than project 5 & reason ,as rewire slave to get vsti audio into RW.

I have Project 5 (latest version) and also have "Kinetic" (latest version) and have gotten both to work in RW rewire mode.

Perhaps now that the utility IntelliRiffer is now available you could get around the rewire problems by just working on the extra MIDI tracks in some other app (Sonar for example) and then just add new layers to existing riffs by editing those riffs within IntelliRiffer.

Just a thought. Rewire is much more direct--if it works without glitches.

There are strange anomolies happening and posssibly are project5 issues.

Yes i can export to wave and go on but, i was trying this for a fast jam session.

Few Discoveries : The Stutter Happnes if you disable the project5 rewire device,

as long as it's on it works perfectly. ) though have to manually move markes to empty region on P5 so as the have muted audio through.

Now the Major P5 Issue.
assuming my rw tempo is 140 and p5 had 120 but since its reqire salve adheres to 140 of rewire host. Good enough until you bounce/freeze a vsti track in p5, it bounces to native tempo of 120 and not that of the host 140. quite pathetic implementation of rewire by cakewalk team i guess. so the solution. do not bounce your vsti track yet.

close p5 close rw, open p5 in normal mode and load the file set tempo to your rw project then bounce the midi to wave. i do have p5 2.5.1 and i guess that is the latest version.

BTW Anyone Knows Some Keyboard Shortcuts for rw.

I know Spacebar plays back and enter key (ctrl M) records but any more??

am trying to write a tiny app that can send keystrokes to rw so i can map them to my midi controller/footswitch
