Does anybody know if you can crop a layer recording after you created a riff. As in, if I pick a 5 bar recording but only start playing at the 2 bar can I somehow delete that first bar before moving it up the top song bar. I having trouble playing right when that crusor starts so then I'm left with a bar or two with nothing being recorded. I'm new to this and just bought the program about 4 hours ago. Thanks for the help.

You can't crop, but you can use the mute layers button to keep playing. That way, you'll be able to eventually get into the groove and then delete all the layers that you didn't like. This is a way to record multiple takes or passes without stopping the music.

Thanks Hayden.

I was trying to start a clean intro without a drum part. So it was difficult to start on time but I guess if I didn't want a drum part I could use the metronome to keep the beat going and then just keep loop recording until I got it. Right? I'm not familiar with the mute button yet can you provide some more detail on that function. Thanks.

you can use metronome to count in or use it as a backing to keep in sync while rec'g your take.

if you mean the mute button in the riff layers..then that mutes that particular layer...if you mean the 'Auto mute layer over on the l.hand side,it will mute each take so you can make multible layers in the riff and pick the one you dig most..
