Need some Help from you all !

First i got my son this line6 riff tracker thing, and the port
LAST X-mas ,we put on his computer ,but he doesn't have the NET in his room
so we put it on my PC that does have the NET, so we could get the monkey thing and ver1.2

But this has turned into a Big PITA for us .............7 months has gone by
now my son is bugging me to get it to work >

What part of this site do i turn 2 just to get started?
So do I need to upgrade ?
do you need the NET to make it work ,,in my sons room
do you get drums or do you pay more for this ?
as you can tell me and my son ARE NOT COMPUTER SAVOY!!

I would even pay for a tutor for this ,if anyone lives in the south San Jose ca

thanks
Gus , Styles

Hi Styless,

Yes an internet connection is required for activation, registration, use of RiffCaster and RiffLink and to purchase more InstantDrummer sessions.

RiffWorks comes with 8 InstantDrummer sessions. Over one hundred more are available in our store here:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/store

You may upgrade it to Version 2 if you wish via Line 6 for 29.99:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/RiffWorks_Line_6_Edition

Or you may choose to crossgrade to RiffWorks Standard Version 2 for $69 from us.
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/%22How_do_I_crossgrade_from_RiffWorks_%28v1%29_to_RiffWorks_Standard%3F%22

You don't need to upgrade but most of our users have found the updates very helpful: v2.1 is a maintenance release for all versions of RiffWorks with updates and changes that improve device support, registration, graphics, plug-in support and RiffLink collaboration.

I hope this has been helpful. Let us know if you have more questions.

Best,
Michelle

If you don't want to upgrade there is a way to transfer it to a computer not connected to the internet.

Please see this help document from Line 6.

http://line6.com/support/entry!default.jspa?categoryID=45&externalID=4377&fromSearchPage=true

It involves finding a few hidden files and copying them to your new computer.
