I just bought the $99 line 6 edition last week and today I noticed that you lowered the standard price to $129. My question is: Will the new price of the the standard RW also be reflected in the price to crossgrade i.e. will it be lowered from $69 to $29?

Thanks!

OK, we've made it a better deal for RiffWorks Line 6 Edition v2 owners

RiffWorks Version 1 owners receive $60 off, making RiffWorks $69.

RiffWorks Line 6 Edition Version 2 owners receive $100 off, making RiffWorks $29.

Instructions for crossgrading can be found here:

Thanks,
Michelle

While RiffWorks Line 6 Edition is a great deal for Line 6 customers, some find that they want RiffWorks Standard because:

* RWS is not keyed to Line 6 hardware, so you can use it with many devices
* RWS works with nearly all ASIO and Core Audio Devices, including those from Line 6
* RWS supports plugin amp models and RW Line 6 Edition only supports Gear Box
* RWS includes AmpliTube 2 Live

I'm a line6 fanatic. I switched to standard out of curiosity about Amplitude. The cost to upgrade was less than price of amplitude from IK so it's really a sweet deal. I'm really glad I switched (even though I still use L6 tones exclusively). It just opens up so many possibilities with all the "plug ins" available.

I have found RiffWorks Standard to be more stable as well. Could just be my imagination though. I've NEVER regretted crossgrading. It gives you the option in the future to upgrade to different hardware and software plug-ins. And for 29 bucks, C'MON!! Just do it already ;)

I think you get Amplitube Live which, is version 2 but stripped down to only 3 amps or so? Still, VERY cool sounds and I think you'll like it. The Guitar Port should still work as well. It acts as your audio interface.

I transfered from Line 6 to Standard with my Guitar Port and didn't have any issues with using it. Let us know if you get set up and have any issues and someone here will probably be able to help you out.

I have a line 6 guitarport with rifftracker, I just went for my free line 6 edition upgrade and it worked perfectly. Then after 6 hours later it went Ka-put! I cant save songs, mix or riffcast anymore. I tried reinstalling but it seems to be something on your end.

Hey freakyricky, I'd post that problem under a seperate thread so it doesn't get lost or go unnoticed by the SWW's techs - even if you do live on Krypton. ;)

I use a pod xt as my guitar interface, if I crossgrade and try to use Amplitube will the pod xt still be the guitar interface? How bad is the latency?

Thanks!
