why does it lose latency when you move along the song line to set in place when doing a song layer. It seems when I have done this on occasion you get another part of the songlayer overlapping where it shouldnt

Are you recording "riffs" and then a song layer and then moving riffs....this will whack it out. It is best to not record song layers until you have your "riffs" in order.

can you mix to riff, a section of riffs with the song layer, so you have the song layer and riffs as 1 riff and you can move the section around or do you have to do it as a whole and cut out the part you want?
