Disclaimer : I Take No warranties that this will work Perfectly. Atleast for me it works and saves me lot of time.

What is it ?

Ever Tried Splitting Up your audio Loop or any wave file into peices (bars).

Don't tell me how you used to do that. (been there, done that and am damn tired of using audio editors and copy paste or auto region/extract regions etc).

This tool will split your audio wave file/loop into smaller segments/chunks based on parameters provided by you.

I use it mainly to split up the solos i record or split backing tracks i create on my Arranger keyboard or other sequencer and then i split the track into
chunks ,create riffs from those chunks (using intelliriffer) and get them into riffworks(tm) for jamming (damn, do i love riffworks).

I do Wonder though why has no one created a tool of this sort earlier for wave splitting.

oh, and please do post your comments and views on this tool.

An excellent addition to the growing collection of home-made RiffWorks accessories. Did you use any kind of fade at the split point to avoid clicks or pops in the audio?

I did not use any kind of fade or infact sample data manipulation of any kind by design. I wanted to keep the chunk data as original as possible.

Reason being
1. Most of your target applications would allow you to do that and that too non destructively using envelopes and other means whenever possible.

2. Since this is a Quick Chop and Go Tool without any waveform analyzer it cannot determine by itself if the click in the end is a desired transient or not. also when the chunks are laid out next to each other these clicks and pops won't appear as they are sequential data boundraies.

IF you still needs to get rid of clicks and pops i would remommend opening the wave first in audio editor such as audacity and fading or silencing the data at loop boundraies.

To find the exact spot of boundary you can use the formulas at the end of included readme.
