Yes, It Should give you a Flatter response as you are bypassing your amps preamp and pre eq stage (if that is how it is). but there will be some coloration by your amp and its cab. All guitar amps do that by design.

If you are recording wet and are using amp and cab simulation in podxt use studio direct mode. for pod i recommend tweaking the tone using headphones or using flat response monitors. as what might sound great from your particular amp just may not sound as good through normal listening speakers in the mix.

Gatorj can best advise on sound.

You hit it Amit. The sound out of the amp is going to be different than the sound that's recorded...it's okay to play it this way but make sure your tone is right through the headphones or the speakers, since this is what sound ends up on tape!

i also have an old version of cakewalk annd i just tried panning and it works fine no crakling what so ever and that was with the way i originaly had the pod hook up.so what does that mean...could it be something with riffworks(oh so confused)
