Separating takes?

Ok, If I have 4 takes, can I separate them? Let's say, I want to keep riffs 1 and 3 put them in their own riff blocks, can I do that?

If not then why is there a "right click function to switch riffs in
the songlayer boxes?

If I read this question right, you have 4 layers in a riff, and want to make a riff with layer 1 and another one with layer 3 in it?

Duplicate the riff, in the first one delate all the layers except layer 1. In the second one, delete all except layer 3.

Yes that is exactly what I was trying to do. That works.

That is a lot of steps to go through just to pull out one take and make it its own riff.

You should be able to just pull out any one of the takes, and drag & drop it into the songlayer boxes and have a new riff. Duh! Come -on Riffworks

How about just duplicating and muting the tracks you don't want to hear in that riff? Then if it turns out you want them back, you've got them there.
