so I bought a new mac

i am replacing my old laptop with a brand new mac, i still have both now. i want to install riffworks on my mac, do I need to buy a new copy or can I do it for free via line6 Monkey or how does this work because I really don't want to lose my riffworks

At the Sonoma store .....log in and go to your account/your downloads.....you can install on 2 computers .....just download the MAC version...... and all will be well.....

well that would be nice but it says in my account that I allready have downloaded a version for mac and one for windows allthough I have never owned a mac before and where can I find the mac OSX version in the store?

it worked though I ony have the demoversion now and I had the full version on my windows

Flandrian do you have the Line6 version or the Standard version? Mickey's advice would only apply to the Standard version, which is why you are in demo mode on the Mac.

You might need to check over at Line6 if that's the version you have, though hopefully someone with the same situation will pop by here!

If you used the Line6 monkey for RiffWorks, you have the Line6 version. The Standard version would be bought directly through the Sonoma store or in a Sonoma package separate from a GuitarPort.

I haven't used the monkey but I'm trying to dll it now but it seems the line6 website is down because it doesn't load

I can't get into the Line6 website for some reason either, but if you have the Line6 version it's license is tied to the hardware (i.e. the GuitarPort). You should be able to download the Mac version and it should work fine, but you'll need to get it from the Line6 site...at least that's how I understand it!

If you have the standard version it would be tied to your sonoma key, what you use to log into the Sonoma store.

Thanks, I think I get it now so I'll wait till line6 is back up and running and then I will install line6 monkey, then I'll hook up my guitarport and then the software riffworks will be linked to my guitarport. thanks very much

at line^ monkey it says nothing about riffworks or re-using my license key that I allready have. It can't be that I have to buy a new license key just becaue I bought a new laptop right? Anyway Gearbox won't work either so if anyone has any ideas,.....
