Hey everyone...sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I've been very busy as of late.

Just wanted to let you all know that I'm starting a digital dustribtion label called ROCK-MUSICSHOP.COM distributing rock CD's in MP3 format. The site is not up yet as I am taking submissions before I launch it.

It would be great to have some Riffworks CD's on there....so if you are interested in having a digital version of your CD for sale, contact me at syre@rogers.com and I'll send you the details. (CD's must be a minimum of 5 songs)

Keep creating those awesome Riffworks tunes!!!!!

Cheers,
Chip

Thanks guys....

No worries...it's totally non-exclusive so don't worry if you are selling your tunes elsewhere as well.

I won't be selling individual downloads just full CD's of at least 5 songs and you can earn up 80% of net revenues....

Looking foward to hearing some great Riffwork tunes.....!!!!!

Cheers,
Chip

Hey Chip I have my cd as well. I just signed up with Tunecore to distribute it to Itunes and Amazon as well as a few others. Are you doing that or just a site like that. If so i have my MP3's available as well with a bit rate of 320? if thats not a good bitrate tell me what you want them in.

QUESTION: How important would it be for me to patent my music before taking on something like this? Also, how does one go about getting a patent, and does it cost money?

TIA

Once you create your music it is copywritten. There really is no need for you to do anything further. You can always mail a copy to yourself and don't open it. That way you have a dated version of your works.

I am creating an indie distribution/label site that is not linked to any of the big boys (IE (itunes etc...). I find there is so much material on those types of sites some of the great music gets lost in the millions of artists that sign up. Not that I would mind having millions of artists on my site! ; )

You will earn up to 80% of the net income based on your sales staring at 50%. It will also have an artists resource centre for artists to learn about the "business" of music etc....

Once I have it launched the site (sometime in the early new year) there will be detailed submission instructions availabe etc...

If you need more info just e-mail me at syre@rogers.com

Cheers Chip
